…And, no, we don’t mean that. What are you doing online? Scrolling, mindlessly, endlessly? There is an alternative to Facebook and Twitter, seriously, and we don’t just mean delving into the darker corners of the internet (yeah, we know you do that already!). So, just what exactly can you be doing instead of wasting probably DAYS of your life on social media? Well, you could get offline of course, but then where would the fun be in that?
Online Gaming
You’ve got PlayStation, Xbox and something vintage or other lying in the corner of your room, but it’s starting to get a bit annoying that you have to go into town and buy the latest games all the time – even ordering online is draining your bank account! Why not just play online instead? Seriously, it’s a lot less hassle (and you can even win prizes!).

Like cars? Write about them. Love movies? Review them. Love music? Ditto. You can probably see where we’re going with this. If it all sounds like hassle setting up your own site, blog for somewhere else. People are often grateful for guest posts, and you can offer expertise whilst making a name for yourself.

Read Something Worthwhile
Girls love an intelligent man, and it’s not just on TV! Sure, we’ve all seen Uber-geek Leonard end up with hot girl-next-door Penny on The Big Bang Theory, but that isn’t just to say it’s fantasy.
If you read something other than the football scores or Buzzfeed from time to time, you could quickly become an expert on something pretty awesome. We’re not saying you’ll learn the meaning of the universe from Wikipedia or that you’ll be a qualified lawyer from reading Quora, but the internet is an information highway, after all.
You could learn to code, read music, play an instrument or even learn to cook, just from reading some articles or watching some tutorials. Why not do something worth your time, for free?
